What Is HALO?
Sciton's Hybrid Fractional Laser
HALO by Sciton is a hybrid fractional laser that simultaneously delivers two complementary wavelengths into the same treatment zone. This allows HALO to address both the surface of the skin and deeper layers in a single customized treatment.
Traditional HALO combines a 1470 nm non-ablative wavelength with a 2940 nm ablative Er:YAG wavelength. Together, these wavelengths can improve visible signs of aging and sun damage while refining skin tone and texture.

The non-ablative 1470 nm wavelength penetrates more deeply into the skin, creating controlled treatment zones that stimulate the skin's natural renewal response. It can be used to address concerns involving tone, texture and overall skin quality.
The ablative 2940 nm Er:YAG wavelength precisely targets the epidermis to refine surface texture, visible imperfections and the appearance of enlarged pores.

Your Consultation
Every HALO treatment begins with an evaluation of your skin, concerns and aesthetic goals. Your provider selects treatment settings based on the areas being treated and the desired level of correction.
Preparing for Treatment
Your provider will give you pre-treatment instructions. These typically include avoiding retinols and harsh skincare for several days before treatment and protecting your skin from direct sun exposure.
Your HALO Treatment
HALO is performed in the office using topical anesthetic for comfort. Because treatment intensity can be customized, recovery experiences vary. Most patients tolerate treatment well.
Recovery & Renewal
Expect temporary redness, warmth and changes in skin texture as the treated skin renews. Your provider will review individualized aftercare instructions and expected recovery before treatment.
