Meet Dr. Louis Poppler

Dr. Poppler is a board-certified plastic surgeon committed to helping patients look and feel their best. He has had the opportunity to travel all over the world to learn cutting-edge techniques and skills that allow him to deliver the highest level of care. A Boise native, Dr. Poppler has been serving our local community since 2019, specializing in facial aesthetic surgery, breast surgery — including breast reconstruction and cosmetic breast enhancement — and a wide range of other cosmetic and reconstructive procedures.

Dr. Poppler is passionate about patient centered care - getting to know his patients, including them in all decisions, and delivering tasteful, timeless results they love. He combines artistry with his broad knowledge of surgical techniques to help patients enhance their natural beauty and feel more confident. Dr. Poppler regularly sees medically and surgically complex patients referred by other surgeons. He enjoys taking on challenging cases that push him to learn and grow so that he is always ready with a safe, skilled solution for every situation.

Dr. Poppler attended Georgetown University and did medical school at the University of Washington as part of the Idaho WWAMI program. He completed six years of dedicated plastic surgery training at Washington University in St. Louis. After his plastic surgery residency, he also completed advanced training fellowships at the Mayo Clinic in Rochester, Minnesota (one year), and at Washington University in St. Louis (two years).

 

Dr. Poppler is board certified by the American Board of Plastic Surgery, the only Plastic, Reconstructive, & Aesthetic surgery specific board recognized by the American College of Medical Specialties. He is a member of the American Society of Plastic Surgeons.

Outside of the operating room, Dr. Poppler enjoys spending time with his family and friends, walking their Irish Wolfhound Fearghus, supporting the community, cross fit, dancing to electronic music, and exploring Idaho's great outdoors.
